Infrastructure is the backbone of economic growth

India’s rapid economic growth, rising urbanisation, and increasing inter-city travel demand make high-speed rail a strategic infrastructure requirement.

The Mumbai–Ahmedabad High Speed rail (MAHSR) project is India’s first high speed rail initiative, connecting Mumbai & Ahmedabad over 508 kms corridors. In this issue of BIMology we will see how the technology of process of Digital Engineering i.e BIM was adopted on the MAHSR-C3 project & the benefits they gained.

One picture talks thousand words, visual story telling always have had its impact. Similarly on our projects when we can visualise, see project in 3D environment even before its constructed & use the same during construction stage, decision making becomes easier & more accurate. In this edition we will see how AR/VR technology implementation in orange gate tunnel infrastructure project made an impact during design & construction stage.

India’s urban transit is on fast track, recently India made history by becoming the world’s third largest metro rail network. In this edition we will see how BIM was adopted on the CMRL Phase-2, corridors 3 & 5 – PS06 package to achieve reliable and efficient power distribution across the metro network.

Digital public infrastructure should be a bridge, not a barrier.
