In this issue of BIMOLOGY, we are covering how digital transformation is happening in M&M SBG using BIM platforms. This case study discusses about BIM implementation on three projects including AMNS BF#2 & BF#3, AMNS SMP#3 and 435 KTPA Smelter Expansion Project Balco – Korba.

As per me, one of the major advantages of deploying BIM on a project is “VISUALIZATION”. They say a picture talks 1000 words, I say “A 3D BIM model talks hundreds of drawings”. When you visualize, decision making is easier and better, in this edition of BIMOLOGY we will also see how PT&D is using BIM as a tool for visualization of complex design. “Clash detection and rectification in wind turbine foundation”, “walkthrough on GIS hall crane for client approval” and "Installation of Precast cable duct in nallah crossing” are the three case studies discussed in this edition.

Role based training is a set of learning activities focussed on equipping employees with specific knowledge and skills needed to excel at their jobs. Field BIM Coordinators play a vital role in boosting project efficiency, minimizing errors, improving quality, and enhancing collaboration with stakeholders. In this edition of BIMOLOGY we are covering about Field BIM Coordinator certified program which was held in BIM Academy during the month of September 2023.
